Fighting for Improved Futures
Unlike a standard commercial gym, every drop of sweat in the TFS CIC contributes toward social missions like reducing youth crime, improving mental health, fostering inclusion and helping with addictions.
We really need your help.
To get started we have to raise funds alongside any funding and sponsors, so any help we can get will make this a success!

What is it we are looking to provide?
Boxing - to be called TFS Boxing and will be split into various lessons. The aim is to create a respected competitive boxing club, while also creating ‘non-contact’ ways to express the passion for training, such as fight choreography training and displays. In all the training, no matter how hard or technical, it is important to the organisation that people have fun.
Lessons will be split into:
6-9yrs (45mins) which is an entry into the training.
10-16yrs (60mins) fundamentals, drills and fitness.
14yrs + (adults and older teenagers) lessons are split into non-contact training and the optional contact training.
Kickboxing and K1 - TFS Kickboxing - These lessons are graded and will be focused on a range of kicks mixed with boxing.
The lessons will split into:
10-16yrs lessons that will be based on learning kicks and blended combinations of kicks and punches as individuals and as partners.
14yrs + (adults and older teenagers) The lesson continues to follow the syllabus to help people grade, with abilities put together during training.
Traditional Ju-jitsu - TFS Ju-jitsu - self defence training with strikes, locks and throws.
Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) - All Sinners - MMA involves a high intensity level of training, with close contact, and a blended mixture of skills.
The lessons are split into:
12-16yrs will have the intensity of the training while keeping it fun. Drills and skills, low level contact and working on fundamentals.
16+ will cover all aspects of MMA training. Intense and demanding training for people who enjoy pushing themselves. Safety and respect in this environment is essential.
What is TFS?
The Fight Society’s main objective is to provide a safe, affordable, accessible, social space for the local and wider community, provided by volunteers who want to be role models and help others.
TFS will provide a physical location to coach competitive boxing, and more traditional martial arts, plus MMA.
The ethos of TFS is the same as the ethos of martial arts -
The ethos of martial arts is rooted in a holistic philosophy of self-improvement, emphasising non-violence, respect, discipline, and integrity. Training focuses on strengthening the mind, body, and spirit to foster humility, perseverance, and the ability to avoid conflict, rather than creating aggression. Key virtues include honor, courage, loyalty, and self-control.
What is it we are looking to create?
Training area 1 (Ju-jitsu and MMA) will have black thicker mats on the floor that can take impacts, reducing injuries to members. One wall will have mats on it for training. The walls will be white with inspiring images and quotes as posters.
Training area 2 will have thinner mats that are better for movement drills. In this space there will be more equipment suitable for boxing and kickboxing. Bags for striking, space to move about, a ring for practicing competition training, and an assortment of other equipment to help with skill specific training.
Seating area with tables and chairs, sofas and space to put down kit bags etc. This space is the social space for members, parents or friends and the wider community.
Kitchenette for basic member food storage and preparation, toilets and changing space
